  • 0.33 cups Red Onion Thinly sliced; optional but enhances flavor.
  • 0.25 cups Cilantro Freshly chopped; can substitute with parsley.
  • 1.5 cups Pepper Jack Cheese Shredded; melts beautifully.

For the Topping

  • 1 tbsp Butter Enhances flavors.

How to Make BBQ Chicken Sliders

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a light spray of non-stick spray.
  • Slice your red onion thinly, chop the cilantro, and shred the cheese if using block cheese.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken with 0.5 cup of BBQ sauce, diced jalapeño, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Stir until well-coated.
  • Slice slider rolls in half and lay the bottom halves on the baking sheet. Distribute the chicken mixture, drizzle with remaining BBQ sauce, then add onion, cilantro, and cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for about 12 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Melt butter in a small bowl and mix in garlic powder.
  • Remove foil, brush tops with garlic butter, sprinkle with black pepper, and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes until tops are golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

Optional: Add slices of avocado or a splash of hot sauce for extra zing. Customize spice by adjusting jalapeño for guests' preferences.
