Ingredients
  

For the Batter

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter can substitute with coconut oil for a dairy-free option
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar can replace with additional granulated sugar if needed
  • 2 large Large Eggs ensure they are at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract optional but recommended
  • 4 large Mashed Banana best if overripe
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour whole wheat can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder make sure it's fresh
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda make sure it's fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon freshly ground can elevate flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt do not omit

For the Cinnamon Sugar Swirl

  • 1/2 cup Cinnamon Sugar Mixture adjust sugar to taste

How to Make Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it with nonstick spray and lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas until well mixed.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, blend granulated sugar with ground cinnamon to make your cinnamon sugar swirl.
  • Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, then add the remaining batter. Finish by sprinkling the last half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then carefully transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Optional: Serve with a spread of butter or a scoop of ice cream for an indulgent treat.
