For the Dressing

  • 1 cup mayonnaise creamy base
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar for tanginess
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard for kick
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds for crunch
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey optional sweetness

Preparation Steps

  • Quarter the cabbage and slice each quarter into thin shreds. Place in a large bowl.
  • Add the shredded carrots and chopped parsley; mix gently.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Stir in celery seeds, salt, and pepper; adjust taste.
  • Pour two-thirds of the dressing over the cabbage mixture and mix well. Add more dressing if needed. Chill for at least one hour before serving.
  • Optional: Garnish with extra parsley before serving.
