Instructions

Directions

  • Prepare rice according to package instructions, ensuring it's fluffy and warm for serving later.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add shrimp seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes. Sear for 1–2 minutes per side until they turn pink and slightly golden; then set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant. Be cautious not to let it brown!
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring gently. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to meld the flavors beautifully.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese, along with the fresh lemon juice and parsley. Adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt or pepper to taste.
  • Return the seared shrimp to the skillet, gently tossing them to coat in that luscious sauce. Heat through for another 1–2 minutes.
  • Spoon the creamy garlic shrimp over the prepared rice, garnishing with additional parsley and a sprinkle of lemon juice. Serve immediately.

Notes

If freezing fully assembled, the texture of the shrimp may change slightly after thawing. For best results, consider keeping the shrimp and rice separate when storing.
