For the Dates

  • 12 pieces Medjool Dates Feel free to use regular dates if Medjool isn’t available.

For the Filling

  • 1 cup Peanut Butter Can swap for almond or cashew butter.
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil Cacao butter is a great alternative.

For the Chocolate

  • 1/2 cup Cacao Powder Cocoa powder can also be used.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt Flakes Optional, elevates flavor.
  • 100 grams Dark Chocolate Optional; monitor sweetness.

Preparation Steps

  • Prepare the tray by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Carefully slice each Medjool date open lengthwise and remove the pit.
  • Spoon just under 1 teaspoon of creamy peanut butter into the center of each stuffed date.
  • Melt the coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl for about 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the cacao powder until fully blended to create a chocolate sauce.
  • Drizzle or dip the dates in the chocolate mixture once cooled slightly.
  • Sprinkle sea salt flakes on top of the chocolate-covered dates.
  • Chill the tray in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes until chocolate hardens.

Notes

Consider using a piping bag for easier filling, and store in the fridge for optimal freshness.
