Preparation Steps

  • Begin by dicing the onion and slicing the scallions.
  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and sprinkle the spice mix on top. Cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Toss in the diced onion and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is softened.
  • Stir in the salsa and water, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any delicious browned bits. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove your skillet from the heat and gently fold in the cottage cheese along with lime juice.
