How to Make Jello Poke Cake

  • Prepare the cake by mixing the white cake mix as per the package instructions and bake until golden brown, usually about 25 minutes. Let it cool for 15 minutes.
  • Poke holes in the cooled cake at ½-1-inch intervals with a fork.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine boiling water and strawberry Jell-O. Stir well until dissolved, then stir in cold water to cool it down.
  • Gradually spoon the Jell-O liquid over the poked cake, allowing it to absorb fully between spoonfuls.
  • Chill the cake in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours and top with whipped topping or freshly whipped cream right before serving.
