  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs reserve some for topping
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

For the Filling

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream chilled
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cups key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon key lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • reserved graham cracker crumbs for topping

  • Combine 1 cup of graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well-coated. Reserve ½ cup for topping.
  • Press the buttered crumb mixture into the bottom of your serving dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the powdered sugar, key lime juice, key lime zest, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Beat until fluffy.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spread half of the creamy filling over the graham cracker crust.
  • Sprinkle the reserved graham cracker crumbs evenly over the filling.
  • Spoon the rest of the cream cheese mixture over the crumbs, spreading it evenly.
  • Finish by sprinkling remaining graham cracker crumbs and extra key lime zest on top.
  • Place the trifle in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
