  • 8 oz cream cheese can swap for reduced-fat cream cheese
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or reduced-fat sour cream

For the Flavor

  • 1 cup mild chunky salsa use your favorite salsa for a spicier twist
  • 1.5 tbsp taco seasoning or half a packet

For the Veggie Layer

  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce shred finely
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes remove seeds to avoid watery dip

For the Cheese Layer

  • 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese

For Garnish

  • 1/3 cup sliced black olives ensure they are drained before use

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, Greek yogurt, salsa, and taco seasoning. Use an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and creamy, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a large shallow glass dish, creating a nice, flat layer.
  • Top the cream cheese mixture with shredded iceberg lettuce, ensuring even coverage. Follow with diced tomatoes, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and drained black olives on top.
  • Serve immediately with baked tortilla chips or refrigerate if you’re preparing ahead of time.

Notes

For best results, add the toppings just before serving to keep everything fresh and vibrant. Optional: Garnish with fresh cilantro for an extra burst of flavor!
