Ingredients

  • 12 to 14 pieces Persian cucumbers or 8 to 10 pickling cucumbers
  • 4 cloves Garlic halved
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Peppercorns
  • a few sprigs Fresh dill per jar

For the Pickling Liquid

  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 cups Distilled white vinegar
  • ΒΌ cup Cane sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Sea salt

Preparation

  • Slice the cucumbers lengthwise into quarters or thinly for chips.
  • Divide the cucumbers into jars, adding garlic, mustard seeds, peppercorns, and dill.
  • Combine water, vinegar, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and heat until dissolved.
  • Pour the brine over the cucumbers, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  • Cool to room temperature before securing lids and refrigerating.
  • Wait a few days for flavors to develop.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes for an optional spice kick. Ensure cucumbers are firm for best results.
