  • Gather Ingredients: Start by collecting 2 Tbsp. of water and your 2 cobs of corn—fresh is best!
  • Prepare the Plate: Pour the water onto a large microwave-safe dinner plate to create steam.
  • Arrange the Corn: Place the two cobs of corn on the plate. Shucked or not, both methods work!
  • Cover and Microwave: Invert a second dinner plate on top of the corn. Microwave on high for 4-5 minutes.
  • Handle with Care: If the corn wasn't shucked, carefully cut off 1/2 inch from the stem ends.
  • Drain and Serve: Drain any remaining water from the plate and insert corn holders if using.
  • Add Flavor: Spread the corn with 2 Tbsp. of butter while still warm and sprinkle with 1/4 tsp. of salt.
