Preparation Instructions

  • Layer the Ingredients: Begin by adding your sliced Persian cucumbers to a large jar. Alternate layers with fresh dill, thinly sliced garlic, and a bay leaf to enhance flavor throughout the pickles.
  • Mix the Brine: In a separate bowl, whisk together the water, rice vinegar, fine sea salt, black peppercorns, and crushed red pepper flakes until the salt is fully dissolved and everything is well combined.
  • Combine Everything: Pour the brine mixture over the layered cucumbers and aromatics in the jar. Secure the lid and gently shake to ensure that all ingredients are well hydrated, pressing down the cucumbers if necessary.
  • Refrigerate and Enjoy: Place the jar in the fridge and let the pickles sit for at least 1 day. They’ll be ready to enjoy after just a few hours, but the flavor deepens with time, becoming deliciously tangy!

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, add a few slices of jalapeño to the mix! Store in an airtight container in the fridge for optimal freshness.
