  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Oil Olive oil works for a healthier option.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely diced.
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper Finely diced.
  • 4 large Eggs Well whisked.
  • to taste Hot Sauce Optional.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (Sharp) Consider using Kerrygold for an extra decadent melt.

How to Make Ground Turkey Breakfast Burritos

  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground turkey along with the seasonings—maple syrup, sage, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Transfer the browned turkey to a bowl and set aside. SautĂ© the finely diced onion and red bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  • Whisk together the eggs and a pinch of salt (plus hot sauce if using). Scramble in the skillet until slightly soft, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Return the turkey to the skillet with the eggs. Stir in the cheese until melted and combined. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Warm flour tortillas in another skillet for a few seconds on each side until pliable.
  • Place about 1 cup of the turkey and egg filling in each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll tightly.

Notes

Optional: Serve with salsa or sour cream for added flavor.
