  • Gently fold in the mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and buttermilk into the butter and sugar mixture.
  • Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in nuts, chocolate chips, or berries if using.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
