Ingredients
  

For the Syrup

  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Substitute with maple syrup for variation.
  • 2 tablespoons Hot Water Used to activate brown sugar.

For the Tapioca Pearls

  • 1 cup Instant Black Tapioca Pearls Provides chewy texture.

For the Tea

  • 6 bags Black Tea Bags Forms the aromatic base of the drink.

For the Drink

  • 1/2 cup Brewed Tea Use cooled tea brewed from black tea bags.
  • 1 cup Plant-Based Milk Substitute with oat, almond, or dairy milk.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Marinated Tapioca Pearls Add to each glass.
  • Ice Cubes Optional for chilling the drink.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine 1/4 cup of brown sugar with 2 tablespoons of hot water in a small bowl. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • In a pot, bring water to a boil and carefully add the instant black tapioca pearls. Follow package instructions until cooked to a chewy perfection.
  • Steep 6 bags of black tea in 1 cup of boiling water for about 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and let it cool slightly.
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of marinated tapioca pearls to each glass. Pour in 1/2 cup of brewed tea and top with 1 cup of plant-based milk. Stir well.
  • Enjoy your bubble tea hot, at room temperature, or chilled over ice.

Notes

Garnish with a sprinkle of matcha powder for an extra burst of flavor.
