This crispy, chewy homemade pizza dough is easy to make and endlessly customizable. Use it for family pizza night or prep ahead and freeze.

Equipment

  • Pizza stone or baking sheet
  • Mixing bowls
  • - Dough hook or hands
  • - Pizza peel or parchment paper

Ingredients
  

  • - 1½ cups warm water 105°F–115°F
  • - 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • - 3¾ cups bread flour 490g
  • - 2 tbsp olive oil
  • - 2 tsp kosher salt
  • - 1 tsp sugar
  • ### Pizza Toppings
  • - Tomato sauce
  • - Shredded mozzarella
  • - Optional: mushrooms peppers, sausage, pepperoni, olives, basil, arugula, parmesan

Instructions
 

  • Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let bloom 5–10 minutes.
  • Add flour, oil, and salt. Mix and knead until smooth.
  • Let rise for 1½ hours (or cold ferment for 24–48 hrs).
  • Preheat oven and stone to 475°F.
  • Divide dough into two balls. Stretch each into a 10–12” round.
  • Add toppings and bake 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Slice and serve!

Notes

- Use bread flour for best texture
- Let dough rise slowly for better flavor
- Don’t overload with toppings
