  • 6 tea bags family-sized black tea

  • Boil Water: Start by bringing 4 cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Steep Tea: Dunk the tea bags a few times in the boiling water to fully hydrate. Leave the bags submerged for about 5 minutes, then gently remove and discard.
  • Dissolve Sugar: Add the granulated sugar directly into the hot tea. Stir well until it dissolves completely.
  • Combine and Pour: Pour your brewed tea base into a 1-gallon pitcher.
  • Add Water: Add 3 additional quarts of cold water to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.
  • Chill: Refrigerate your tea for at least 4 hours or overnight.
