How to Make Candied Pecans

  • In a medium-sized pot, add the pecan halves, maple syrup, cinnamon, and kosher salt. Stir all the ingredients together over medium heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly for about 8-10 minutes until the syrup thickens and nuts are coated.
  • Transfer the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking tray, spreading the pecans apart.
  • Allow the pecans to cool for at least 10 minutes, then break apart any pieces that may have stuck together.

Notes

Store in an airtight container. They last up to 2 weeks at room temperature, longer in the fridge or freezer. Reheat at 350°F for about 5 minutes to restore crunch.
