Ingredients
  

For the Cake

  • 1 box white cake mix a quick base that provides a fluffy texture

For the Strawberry Layer

  • 2 pints strawberries fresh strawberries deliver natural sweetness and vibrant color

Making the Cake

  • Prepare the strawberries: Start by slicing one long side of the strawberries to flatten them, then set aside. Chop the remaining strawberries into small pieces, mix them with sugar in a bowl, and refrigerate to let them marinate.
  • Mix the cake batter: Follow the instructions on the cake mix box using egg whites. With a hand mixer or whisk, beat until everything is combined and smooth.
  • Bake the cake: Grease a 9x13 baking dish and pour the batter into the dish. Bake at 350°F for 33 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Prepare the jello mixture: In a bowl, pour the strawberry jello mix and carefully add one cup of boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved.
  • Poke the cake: Once the cake is baked, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake, going about 3/4 of the way down.
  • Add the jello: Pour the jello mixture evenly over the warm cake. Cover and chill the cake in the fridge for at least an hour to set.
  • Spread the cheesecake layer: When the cake is cool, gently spread the no-bake cheesecake filling over the top. Arrange the flat sliced strawberries around the edges and add the marinated strawberries in the center.
