Ingredients

For the Batter

  • 3 cups flour This forms the base of your bread, giving it structure.
  • 3 whole eggs They help bind the ingredients together for a moist texture.
  • 2 cups sugar Sweetens the bread; feel free to use brown sugar for a richer flavor!
  • 1 cup oil Adds moisture; can substitute with unsweetened applesauce for a healthier option.
  • 4 cups fresh zucchini Grated and drained, this is what makes your zucchini bread unique!
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Enhances the sweetness and adds depth to the flavor.
  • 1.5 teaspoons cinnamon A warm spice that perfectly complements the sweetness of the zucchini.
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder Helps the bread rise, ensuring a light texture.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Provides additional leavening; essential for the bread's fluffiness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Balances the sweetness, bringing all the flavors together.
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts Adds a delightful crunch and additional nuttiness; perfect for texture!

Instructions

How to Make Zucchini Bread

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease your bread loaf pans—choose either three standard loaves or two larger ones for a heartier serve!
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients together. Stir them well until everything is mixed and has a lovely consistency—you want that delightful batter ready to go!
  • Carefully pour the batter into the prepared bread pans, making sure to divide it evenly. This way, each loaf bakes perfectly for about 40-50 minutes at 375°F.
  • Insert a toothpick or cake tester into the center of the loaves. If it comes out clean with just a few crumbs, your zucchini bread is all done and ready to cool!

Notes

For a burst of flavor, sprinkle some cinnamon on top before baking. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to prevent crumbling when slicing.
