Instructions

How to Make Juicy Bourbon Glazed Salmon Bites

  • In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, light brown sugar, honey, and gochujang over medium heat. Stir continuously until smooth, then pour in the bourbon and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the glaze thickens and reduces slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together sesame oil, ponzu sauce, and soy sauce. Gently fold in the chopped green onion and red bell pepper, then set this vibrant mixture aside.
  • Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels to ensure they sear well. Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add sesame oil to the preheated griddle. Cook the salmon cubes in batches for 2-3 minutes on one side, achieving a beautiful caramelization; flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through.
  • Arrange the cooked salmon bites on a serving platter. Generously top with the green onion and bell pepper mixture, drizzle with the thick bourbon glaze, and finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For best results, thaw frozen bites in the fridge overnight before reheating.
