Ingredients
  

  • **Base**
  • - 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • - 1 lb ground beef
  • - 1 large onion diced
  • - 4 garlic cloves minced
  • **Tomato Base**
  • - 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • - 1 15 oz can tomato sauce or puree
  • - ⅓ cup tomato paste
  • **Broth & Seasoning**
  • - 4 cups chicken broth
  • - 1–2 cups water
  • - 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • - 1 tsp sea salt
  • - Black pepper to taste
  • **Pasta & Cheeses**
  • - 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • - ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • - 2 oz mozzarella cheese shredded
  • - ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
  • - ¼ cup fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Sauté onion until translucent; add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef; cook and crumble until browned. Drain fat.
  • Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste.
  • Pour in broth and water. Add seasoning. Bring to boil, then simmer 10 minutes.
  • Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8–10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in ricotta.
  • Serve hot topped with mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley.

Notes

- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes
- Sub in ground turkey or sausage
- Freeze without cheese for better texture
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veg
