Dough

  • 1 package Crescent Dough Can substitute with puff pastry.

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Pizza Sauce Consider using blended canned tomatoes with garlic and oregano.

Cheese

  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Can swap with provolone or cheddar.
  • 1/4 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Fresh offers richer flavor.

Toppings

  • 12 slices Large Pepperoni (cut in half) Regular slices can also be used whole or quartered.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Dried oregano or basil can be alternatives.

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven according to the crescent dough package instructions, usually around 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into rectangles, approximately 3x5 inches.
  • Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each rectangle of dough, followed by mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Layer the halved pepperoni slices on top of the cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  • Roll each rectangle tightly from one end to create the rose shape and gently place them in a muffin tin.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm with additional marinara sauce for extra dipping delight. Brush with garlic-infused olive oil for enhanced flavor.
