Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1 pound medium-sized shrimp raw or pre-cooked

For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise full-fat recommended
  • 1/4 cup ketchup organic or low-sugar preferred
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed

For Assembly

  • 2 cups lettuce Iceberg or Romaine, shredded
  • 2 pieces lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions
 

Cooking Shrimp

  • Fill a large pot with salted water, and bring it to a rolling boil. Add medium-sized shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and curl into a loose 'C' shape.
  • Once cooked, transfer the shrimp to a colander to drain and allow them to cool to room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir until smooth and well-blended.

Assembling the Dish

  • On a platter, arrange a bed of shredded lettuce. Gently place the cooled shrimp on top, generously coating them with the zesty Marie Rose sauce. Garnish with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

Serve immediately for best taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, keeping shrimp, sauce, and lettuce separate until ready to serve.
