Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Mixture

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and ripe
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar adjust to taste

For the Matcha

  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder high-quality
  • 1 cup cold water

For Assembly

  • 1 cup ice plenty
  • ½ - 1 cup almond milk adjust based on preference
  • to taste maple syrup or honey optional

Preparation

  • Combine the strawberries and sugar in a small bowl. Use a fork to gently mash and mix them together until you have a sweet, chunky puree. Set this vibrant mixture aside to let the flavors meld.
  • Sift the matcha powder into another small bowl to eliminate any lumps, ensuring a smooth drink. Add the cold water and whisk vigorously from side to side using a matcha whisk until the mixture is well combined and frothy.
  • Layer the strawberries at the bottom of a tall glass. Fill it halfway with ice, then pour in enough almond milk to fill the glass two-thirds full. Lastly, top it off with the beautifully whisked matcha mixture.
  • Stir everything together with a straw. Adjust the sweetness if desired by mixing in some maple syrup or honey.

Notes

For an extra refreshing treat, chill your glass beforehand. Optional: Garnish with a few whole strawberries on top for a pop of color.
