Ingredients
  

  • #### Crust & Topping:
  • - 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • - 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - ½ tsp salt
  • - 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • #### Apple Filling:
  • - 3 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
  • - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • - ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • #### Topping:
  • - ½ cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 9×13” baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Add flour and stir until crumbly. Reserve ⅓ for topping.
  • Press remaining ⅔ into bottom of pan for crust.
  • Toss apples with cinnamon and nutmeg. Layer over crust.
  • Drizzle caramel over apples. Crumble remaining dough on top.
  • Bake for 40–45 mins or until golden. Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

- Try Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples
- Add chopped pecans to the topping for crunch
- Let bars cool before slicing to avoid crumbling
