Ingredients
- 250g unsalted butter
softened
- 250g golden caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 500g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Food coloring
red, black – optional
- Halloween cookie cutters
- Writing icing
red, white, black
- 200g fondant icing
- 1 tbsp apricot jam
warmed
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
Add eggs, vanilla, and food coloring
Mix in flour and baking powder
Form dough, chill for 1 hour
Preheat oven to 170°C / 325°F
Roll out dough and cut spooky shapes
Bake for 12–15 mins, then cool
Decorate with icing and fondant
