Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • lbs large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup Parmesan
  • Optional:
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Basil leaves

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup water, then drain.
  • Season shrimp and sear in 2 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp oil. Remove once pink.
  • Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes in remaining butter/oil.
  • Add broth and lemon juice. Simmer briefly.
  • Add pasta to the skillet and toss with sauce.
  • Return shrimp, parsley, lemon zest. Mix well.
  • Add reserved water for silky texture.
  • Finish with Parmesan and serve hot.

Notes

Dry shrimp thoroughly before cooking
Always use fresh garlic
Great with crusty bread on the side
