  • 1 box Vanilla Cake Mix A quick base that delivers a soft and fluffy texture

For the Frosting

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Cold and cubed
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 pinch Kosher Salt
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Cold for the best results
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

For Decoration

  • 1 cup Fresh Blueberries
  • 1 cup Fresh Raspberries
  • 1 cup Confectioners’ Sugar Optional for dusting

Preparation

  • Start by mixing the boxed vanilla cake mix according to the package instructions. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • In a stand mixer, combine the cold cream cheese, granulated sugar, and kosher salt. Beat until fluffy. Gradually add in the cold heavy cream and the pure vanilla extract until the mixture holds its shape.
  • Once the cake has cooled completely, spread half of the creamy frosting over the top. Use a piping bag with a star tip to create decorative borders with the remaining frosting. Arrange fresh blueberries and raspberries in stripes to mimic the flag.
  • Slice into wedges and serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.

Notes
