Mixing bowl
- Large skillet or wok
Grater or garlic press
- 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp oil
- 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp ginger grated
- 4 tbsp honey
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional
- 2 green onions sliced
Toss shrimp with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let sit 5 mins.
Heat oil in skillet. Add garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds.
Add shrimp in single layer. Cook 1–2 mins per side.
Reduce heat. Add honey and chili flakes. Toss to coat.
Garnish with green onions. Serve hot.
Use pre-peeled shrimp to save time
Fresh ginger is best, but paste works in a pinch
