Steps to Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 350˚F. Begin by cutting the baguette in half lengthwise, then slice it diagonally into 1/4″ thick pieces. Spread the bread slices on a baking sheet, ready for baking.
  • Combine in a small bowl 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. Drizzle this mixture over your croutons, then sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
  • Spread the seasoned croutons in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until they're light golden brown and crisp.
  • Whisk together the garlic, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and red wine vinegar in a separate bowl. Gradually drizzle in 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil while continuously whisking until smooth. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Rinse, dry, and chop or tear the romaine into bite-sized pieces. Place the romaine in a large serving bowl, sprinkling with shredded parmesan cheese and the cooled croutons. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over everything and toss gently until the lettuce is evenly coated.
